Saturday my roommates and I went gym shopping. It was surprisingly fun. So I have a weeks free membership to the most exclusive gym, then a free week at our next favorite gym, and then we will pay to go to the one we decided on, which is cramped, but has all the necessities and is very close to our apartment. Plus they offer 24-hr memberships.
Then there was Meditation and Philosiphy with Sensei Beck. We outlined the lesson plan for the next class, then ordered pizza and watched movies. Aeon Flux which I had already seen and like, and Ultraviolet which I hadn't seen and wasn't very impressed with. The fight scenes were really bad. Lots of guys with guns running toward a woman with blades, instead of just shooting her. Lots of unrealistic hesitation before action sequences. Lots of men standing around her in circles with guns pointed straight across. But if for no other reason than watching a pretty girl do a lot of wire-assisted gymnastics, it wasn't a total waste of time.
And then gaming. Woo.
Sunday, we packed seven people into David's Subaru and drove to New Harmony. Such a pretty little town! There was only one place in town open for lunch besides the grocery, so we ended up eating at a snooty little cafe and spending a bunch of money, but I got to eat deep-fried gruyere and gouda, creme brulee french toast, and sample a monte cristo (a deep fried ham and gourmet cheese sandwich served with preserves). After lunch, we walked. Forever. It was nice though, lots of gardens, and a church with no roof, and a labyrinth, and some stores, and a kitten...
Then we went home. Taco soup happened. Some other stuff happened too, but I don't quite remember.
Yesterday was theoretically going to be another productive day, with car shopping or some such, but that just... didn't happen. Instead I cleaned up my music collection (btw, Kevin, that means I corrected the artist names and such, not that I deleted Alanis). There was more gaming. Yay!
Tonight I will be going to the Evansville Philharmonic Choir practice. Assuming they don't kick me out (unlikely, I'm told by the member who is bringing me) I will then join and be in a choir again. This is very exciting. I'm tempted to round out my weekday evening commitments by either visiting my local Sangha sitting or attending the Pagan Interest Discussion group, but that might be too much. We'll see how it goes.

I mean I live like that, but not because I want to.
Glad you had a fun weekend.
